Meet Chandra
Chandra D. Jarrett’s story is one of faith, resilience, and redemption; a journey that bridges the worlds of ministry and the marketplace.
As a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineer, Chandra spent over fifteen years in the automotive industry with companies like General Motors, Chrysler, and Saturn Corporation. As she built cars, God was quietly building her. In boardrooms, Bible studies, and training rooms, she found herself mentoring others, realizing that what she loved most wasn’t the machines, it was developing people. In her words, “I spent 15 years building cars, now I build lives.”
After journaling to God for two years, asking why she was created, Chandra left corporate life to follow a deeper call, to teach Believers how to live victoriously and lead authentically. As a leader in the marketplace and ministry, Chandra she spent years walking alongside people through seasons of brokenness, helping them find purpose in their pain and restoration in Christ. Simultaneously, she launched Sister Strengthening Sisters, a nonprofit devoted to empowering women to heal, grow, and lead from a place of wholeness.
Today, Chandra serves as the Founder and President of Joy Consulting Group, where she coaches and consults leaders across industries to develop emotionally intelligent, faith-centered leadership. With more than 30 years in the corporate world and over 20 years in nonprofit leadership, she brings both strategic insight and spiritual wisdom to her work.
Chandra holds a Certificate in Executive Leadership Coach, along with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management (University of Illinois Chicago) and a Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship (Cornell University), reflecting her deep commitment to helping nonprofits and women thrive.
A storyteller at heart, Chandra’s transparency and warmth invites others to believe that no detour is wasted, and no wound is too deep for God to redeem. Her message flows through her books, including What I Wish I Knew About Abortion, How Cancer Saved My Life: Rediscovering Life in a Deadly Place, Shatter Your Glass Ceiling: 30 Days of Spirit-Led Affirmations for Christian Women in the Marketplace and Ministry, and Lipstick, Lattes, and Leadership: Love Letters to Women Who Live, Love, and Lead with Faith.
Chandra is the proud mother of one son, Marcus, Jr. He and his wife Natalie, have two daughters, London and Milan, who are her greatest joy.
